    Allegra D Medicine

    Allegra d medicine is a combination of fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine, an antihistamine and a decongestant which is used to temporarily relieve runny nose, sneezing, and nasal stuffiness from average colds. Allegra d medicine is also used to relieve nasal and non-nasal symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Allegra D medicine can be used in bronchitis or pharyngitis and for inflamed and congested sinuses (sinusitis).
    Allegra d medicine is usually taken orally twice a day with the tablet being swallowed whole and not chewed or broken. Do not take more than the number of allegra D medicine prescribed by your doctor. Allegra d medicine is known to act swiftly in relieving nasal congestions. It can relieve in 1 hour up to 12 hours peaking in two to three hours. However, precautions should be exercised in taking Allegra d medicine since these could cause side effects to some people. Some of these precautions before taking allegra D medicine include:
    * inform your doctor of any known allergic reaction to fexofenadine (allegra), pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) or any other drugs.
    * Inform your doctor of any drugs, supplements or herbal medicines you're taking especially those anti-depressants that have monoamine oxidase inhibitor components or have halted taking MAO within 14days.
    * inform your physician of any pseudoephedrine -sensitive ailments such as kidney disease, high blood pressure, heart disease, angina, diabetes, thyroid gland hyperactivity, enlarged prostrate
    * Inform your doctor if you're pregnant or are planning to obtain pregnant.
    Allegra D medicine should not be taken with drinks that contain caffeine since this combination could promote restlessness and insomnia. Taking alcohol while taking allegra D medicine could also cause drowsiness and dizziness which could influence mental alertness. If feeling drowsy after taking allegro d medicine, you should refrain from doing tasks that call for mental alertness such as driving or operating the machine to avoid putting yourself in unnecessary danger. If you forget to take allegra D medicine, you should refrain from doubling the dose. Take it as soon as you remember.
    Allegra D medicine can cause side effects although these eventuate rarely. Some of the known side effects with allegra D medicine are: headache, stomach pains, dizziness, restlessness, et cetera. On the extreme side, hallucinations and convulsions are reported to have occurred while taking allegra D medicine.
    Always confer your doctor if you notice any of the above symptoms especially in severe cases related with the use of Allegra D medicine. One should keep the precautions in mind before taking allegra D medicine to prevent any negative effects.
